Ordamed was sincerely glad to initiate and take part in the organization of the training of a surgeon fr om Almaty, Zhasanov Zhanai Manayuly, under the Korean JW fellowship program. The program is implemented by the Yonsei Institute of Global Health and is aimed at improving the level of knowledge and skills in the field of surgery, familiarization with modern methods of treatment, as well as the introduction of advanced foreign practices in the medical field of their country.
Zhanai's mentor was Professor Chang Moo Kang, MD, PhD, specialist in pancreatic cancer surgery, minimally invasive surgery, head of the Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery.
"International internships are a great chance to improve the quality of our surgery. Severance Hospital is well known as a multidisciplinary center, wh ere minimally invasive surgery is widespread, in particular the use of robotic systems, which is not sufficiently developed in Kazakhstan today," Zhanai shared his impressions.
"Thank you for allowing me to gain international experience working with the best surgeons in Korea," adds Zhanai.
